Week 11 (A-Week) Share List and Farm News

Latecomers Share: Because enrollment was down this year and they need to fill a few more spots, Garden of Eve Farm is offering a latecomers half season share starting in September. We don't anticipate this being an option in future seasons, but we want to help the farm out! Great for those who were on the fence about joining. Folks can sign up at Farmigo. Please spread the word to friends and neighbors.

Farm News: Tomato production is slowly picking up, and we are happy to let you know that for the next 2-3 weeks, you can order bulk boxes for tomatoes, corn, onions and beets, as well as jars of our own recently harvested raw honey. Go to this link:,  please order at least 2 days before your CSA pick up day, in order to get the box on your share day (further in advance is best). IT will be delivered on whatever is the next CSA pick up at your site, after you order it. If you want it a different date, or there are other specific instructions, please email us after you order at Pick up is also available at the farm!

Next weekend we’ll be celebrating TomatoFest with tomato tasting, hayrides, tomato picking, live music, and more. We are looking forward to having many of our CSA members coming out to visit the farm. All CSA members and family members are free, and Admission for non-CSA members is $3. 10-6, Sat and Sun Aug 22-23.

On the farm, we are doing a lot of moving pipe and irrigating, since it has rained very little this month (and this whole season!). Fall veggies are available now at the Garden Center for your fall garden, as well as Frost Blankets for season extension. Buy 10 veggies get a free Frost Blanket! Garlic is getting cut and readied for sale and the 12th Annual LI Garlic Festival which is coming up Sept 19-20! Even the winter squashes are sizing up, with fall approaching.
