Edamame (soybeans), 1 plant pick the pods off yourself – it’s not hard – then steam them with salt for a great snack that kids and adults love. The plants are mostly dead- this is the stage that they are meant to be harvested at.

Fruit share: Plums and Donut peaches

Egg share: ½ dozen pastured eggs
Cheese share: Sprout Creek Farm (www.sproutcreekfarm.org) is a new addition to our Cheese Share program. They are a non-profit educational farm located in Poughkeepsie, Duchess County. I met them at the Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival in October, and had a chance to enjoy their cheeses there – we hope you will too!
Toussaint (too-sanh): A raw cows' milk cheese with a distinctive Alpine flavor and a smooth tight texture, it becomes complex and peppery with age. Aged 5-7 months. Place winner in International Cheese Contest 2008.
Kinkead: This semi firm cheese is savory and sharp with a hint of pungency. Dense and creamy, Kinkead is washed in the beginning for extra flavor, then aged to perfection in our ripening rooms. Raw cows' milk cheese, aged 6-8 months
MEAT SHARE: one whole Garden of Eve-grown organically-fed, pastured chicken, AND one lb ground Wagyu beef, AND one Long Island duck breast raised on the Peconic Bay a stone’s throw from Garden of Eve, AND one bag frozen broccoli /cauliflower/beans (a bonus extra).
